When life feels overwhelming, Counselling can help!
Life can be hard, especially when unexpected problems appear…. like grief, relationship conflict, work stress, family problems, rising cost of living, and caring for family with special needs… the list goes on!
When you are overwhelmed, it can be hard see a way forward.
With gentle support and care, I can help you can find calm, clarity, and direction.
Counselling Approaches
Below are some of the counselling approaches I may draw on during our sessions. This list isn’t exhaustive, but it gives you a general sense of the ideas and tools we might use together.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
CBT helps us look at how your thoughts, feelings and behaviours are connected. Together, we gently notice unhelpful patterns and work on practical ways to shift them, so you can feel more balanced and in control in everyday life.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
ACT is about learning to sit more kindly with difficult thoughts and emotions, rather than fighting them. We focus on what really matters to you and take small, meaningful steps toward living in line with your values.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
SFBT focuses on what’s already working and what you’d like more of. Instead of spending lots of time on the problem, we look for strengths, possibilities and practical steps to help you move forward.
Emotional Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT)
EFCT is a gentle, approach to relationship counselling that helps couples move out of painful patterns and back into connection. Rather than focusing only on the arguments themselves, EFCT explores the deeper emotions and attachment needs that sit underneath conflict.

Dedicated Support for Mining Professionals & their Families
Before I was a Counsellor, I spent nearly 2 decades working in the mining industry as a Safety and Wellbeing Manager. I understand the pressure, the personalities, the politics, the industry and the the impact that long shifts and FIFO/DIDO life can have on you and your family. I’ve also supported workers and leaders through workplace incidents, serious injuries, investigations and the often challenging road back to work.
If you’re feeling stressed, flat, overwhelmed, dealing with workplace conflict, navigating injury or return-to-work, or noticing strain in your relationships, we can work through it together. My style is calm, practical and down-to-earth. I focus on helping you steady the nervous system, think clearly, rebuild confidence and find balance between work and home. It’s confidential, respectful support from someone who personally understands your world and the specific challenges you face.
